Unit 5: Letter Writing

In this unit, students will learn how to write letters/e-mails to friends and relatives on various occasions. Conventional letters, e-mails and other forms of correspondence used on current social media, such as blogs and tweets, are given as examples. Students will be exposed to letters on a range of topics. By working on writing letters, students will have the practice they need to improve their writing skills, formulate ideas, and make persuasive arguments. Students will also learn cultural elements of the target country by reading the letters and examining and analyzing the content of each letter.
