2.4.1: Gramática-preposiciones

There are many prepositions in both Spanish and English.  Here is a complete list of Spanish prepositions:

“a”, “ante”, “bajo”, “con”, “contra”, “de”, “desde”, “durante”, “en”, “entre”, “hacia”, “hasta”, “mediante”, “para”, “por”, “según”, “sin”, “sobre”, “tras”, “versus” y “vía”

Most of these prepositions are fairly easy as they correspond to another, single preposition in English.  These are:

• ante = facing
• bajo = under
• con = with
• contra = against
• desde = since
• entre = between
• hacia = towards
• hasta = until
• mediante = by means of
• según = according to
• sin = without
• sobre = on top of
• tras = behind
• versus = versus
• vía = via
