Topic 3.2 – Function Notation

Function Notation discusses the standard f(x) notation for functions, explaining the input/output process. The definition of function is dealt with in the Functions lesson and it is assumed that students have an understanding of what a function is prior to this lesson. The focus in on interpreting f(3) as the input 3 replacing x in the expression f(x) for the purpose of calculating the output.
