Zambia: Mwangala Mwenda Lethbridge
Born in Ndola, Zambia, Mwangala Mwenda Lethbridge is the founder of Mwangala Mwenda Architects in Lusaka, Zambia, and the founder of the Mwangala Mwenda Foundation, a non-profit that supports education for girls and empowers women in Zambia. She holds a bachelor’s of architecture from Copperbelt University in Kitwe, Zambia (c. 1996); a master’s of architecture in human settlements from the Katholieke Universiteit in Leuven, Belgium (c. 1999); and a master’s of business administration from the Alliance Manchester Business School at the University of Manchester in Manchester, England (c. 2019). She is a member of the Zambia Institute of Architects. Mwangala Mwenda Lethbridge published a memoir titled Still Standing: The Flip Side of Denial, Depression, and Forgiveness (2022).
