Vietnam: La Thi Kim Ngan
La Thi Kim Ngan worked as the director of the Vietnam Association of Architects (VAA, 2013–). She has also worked as the Vice Director (2003-2009) and then Director (2009-2012) of the Vietnam Institute for Urban and Rural Planning in the Ministry of Construction. She holds a diploma in architecture from Hanoi Architectural University in Hanoi, Vietnam (c. 1974–1980). Throughout her career as an architect and urban planner, she has promoted the preservation of natural landscapes. She participated in the establishment of the first Vietnam Society of Landscape Architects (2021), a collaboration between the Hanoi National University of Civil Engineering and the VAA. As director of the VAA she also promoted the Going Green initiative. La Thi Kim Ngan earned a Certificate of Merit from the VAA (2025) for her service (2020–2025).
