Trinidad and Tobago: Rudylynn De Four Roberts

Rudylynn Da Four Roberts is the first woman president of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects (1995–1997), and works as the director and principal architect at Rudylynn Roberts Architects Limited in Port of Spain, Trinidad (2000–). She holds a bachelor’s of architecture from Howard University in Washington D.C. (1974). Previously, she worked for the Historical Restoration Unit at the Ministry of Works and Transport in Trinidad and Tobago (1991–2003), and was also a senior architect at ADB Consultants (1991–2000), and an architectural consultant for Réjane Limited, an architectural and interior design firm located in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.

Rudylynn Da Four Roberts has served on the Council of the National Trust of Trinidad and Tobago, including in the role of chairman of its Landmarks Sub-Committee. She is also a formerly appointed member of the Archaeological Committee of Trinidad and Tobago (1992–2009); a past-president and founding member of the Citizens for Conservation Trinidad and Tobago; a former chairman of the ICOMOS Trinidad and Tobago National Committee; and a member, fellow, and past-president of the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects (1995–1997). She has also been a member of various government committees related to archaeology, historic preservation, and restoration. Rudylynn Da Four Roberts co-authored the draft of the National Trust Act, earned the Chaconia Medal (Silver) from her Excellency Paula-Mae Weekes ORTT, the former President of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago (2022); and she received the Trinidad and Tobago Institute of Architects Fellowship award.
