Born in 1898 in Warsaw, Poland, Jadwiga Dobrzyńska was the first woman to graduate from the Faculty of Architecture at the Warsaw University of Technology (1922). Throughout her career she collaborated with her husband, architect Zygmunt Łoboda, to design public buildings throughout Poland, addressing the reconstruction and urban development of Katowice, Poland, in the interwar period. Dobrzyńska competed in numerous architectural competitions throughout her career. She and Łoboda proposed a design for the new Olympic stadium in Warsaw; their design earned third prize and was featured in the architecture category of the art competitions held at the Summer Olympics (1928) in Amsterdam, Netherlands. Dobrzyńska died in 1940 in Warsaw, Poland.
