Papua New Guinea: Stephanie Korokoro
Born in Kieta, Bougaineville, Papua New Guinea, Stephanie Korokoro is the Development Architect and Development Planning and Control Specialist for the National Capital District Commission (NCDC) in Waigani, Papua New Guinea (2024–). She holds a bachelor’s of architecture from the Papua New Guinea University of Technology in Lae, Papua New Guinea, and a graduate diploma in project management from RMIT Online, a university based in Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. Korokoro gained professional experience working as a project architect and design lead for PlanPac Group (2016–2024) prior to her employment at the National Capital District Commission. While employed with PlanPac Group she was recognized by the Port Moresby newspaper for her work refurbishing the National Museum and Art Gallery located in Port Moresby (2018), and she earned recognition for her role in the upgrades of the Arawa Hospital in Arawa, Papua New Guinea (2018). Korokoro also earned a Bougainsville Copper Foundation (BCF) scholarship for her education (2010–2013).
