Morocco: Athala Ojeda Manjra
Born in Pasto, Colombia, Athala Ojeda Manjra is the first woman architect authorized to work in Fes, Morocco. She relocated from Colombia to Morocco in the late 1960s when she participated in the Service de L’Urbanisme in Fes (1969), and established an architectural practice in Fes in 1971. Her archive was donated to the Mémoire des architectes modernes marocains (MAMMA, c. 2024), a non-governmental organization in Casablanca, Morocco.
