Kiribati: Tongaa Namai

Tongaa Namai has worked as an architectural assistant of the Kiribati Education Improvement Program (KEIP) project managed by Coffey, A Tetra Tech Company, on behalf of the Australian Government’s Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade (DFAT) in support of the Kiribati Ministry of Education (c. 2018). She holds a certificate in construction from Kiribati Institute of Technology in Betio, Kiribati. Her first assignment of KEIP was the Dai Nippon Primary School in Betio, Kiribati. She surveyed the property and designed drafts for its restoration. Her participation in the project was featured in Medium, an online platform for publications (June 2018). She was also featured in a “Women in Development” series focused on uplifting women at Tetra Tech (2018).
