Honduras: Cinthya Andino

Born in Honduras, Cinthya Andino is a project manager for the Latin American and Caribbean regions of the International Finance Corporation in Buenos Aires, Argentina (2024–). Prior to this position, Andino worked as a project architect for the U.S. Department of State at the Tegucigalpa New Embassy Compound in Honduras (2019–2024). Andino holds a bachelor’s of architecture from the Centro de Diseño, Arquitectura y Construcción in Tegucigalpa, Honduras (2012), and master’s degree in project management from the Universidad Tecnológica Centroamericana in Tegucigalpa (2017). She is a co-founder of Beleaf (2016), an eco-friendly company in Honduras that reuses or “upcycles” textile waste in new apparel and accessories.

Andino has served on the board of directors for the International Youth Foundation (c. 2023). She was named LE Staff of the Quarter for December 2019 by the U.S. Embassy Tegucigalpa (2020), selected as a Fellow of the U.S. Department of State’s Young Leader of the Americas Initiative (YLAI) Fellowship program (2018), and she was selected as a Youth Action Net Fellow (2018). Andino is certified as a Project Management Professional by the Project Management Institute (2023–2026), and certified as a construction manager through the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA, 2022–2028). She is also certified as an LEED Green Associate by the Green Business Certification Inc. (2021–2023).
