Bermuda: Beryl E. Brown

Beryl E. Brown is the first registered woman architect in Bermuda (1994). She holds a bachelor’s of arts in fine arts from Sarah Lawrence College in Bronxville, New York, where she also fulfilled pre-post graduate requirements for architecture, and she holds a master’s of architecture from Yale University in New Haven, Connecticut. Brown is the founder and managing director of The Studio Limited, an architectural and interior design firm in Hamilton, Bermuda (1989–). In 2019, she started working as a senior architect consultant for OMBI, an international architecture and interior design firm. Brown is a registered architect in New York State (1994), a member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA, 1995), and a member of the Institute of Bermuda Architects (IBA, 1992). She has served as a member of the Architects Registration Council in Bermuda and of the Bermuda Government’s Architectural Advisory Panel.
