Benin: Charmelle Sèmènou Alavo

Charmelle Sèmènou Alavo is the Founder of Sharm’s Concept, a design agency located in Cotonou, Littoral, Benin (2022–). She holds a bachelor’s in architecture from Collège Universitaire d’Architecture de Dakar in Dakar, Senegal (2016), and a master’s in architecture from L’École Africaine des Métiers de l’Architecture et de l’Urbanisme (EAMAU) in Lomé, Togo (2018). Charmelle Sèmènou Alavo gained professional experience working at L’Atelier Houndeffo, an architecture firm based in Cotonou, Benin (c. 2018–2023). Amongst her other accomplishments, she participated in the Designer du Bénin Expo-vente (2023).
