Barbados : Vicki Telford

Vicki Telford is the first and only woman to serve as president of the Barbados Institute of Architects (BIA, 2003–2005 and 2018–2019). She holds a bachelor’s of architecture from Howard University in Washington D.C., United States (c. 1989–1994), and a master’s degree in construction project management from the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida. Telford is the founder, principal architect, project manager, and director of Vicki Telford Architects, Inc., an architectural firm located in Bridgetown, Barbados (2003). She was featured on the television show Bajan Renovation (2025), and in the book 100 Women Architects in Practice (2023). She also earned a BIA Certification of Appreciate (2009).
