Aruba: Paula Andrea López Aguilar

Paula Andrea López Aguilar is the co-founder and principal architect of Zulo, an architectural firm located in Oranjestad, Aruba (2015) with a second office in Bogotá, Colombia. She holds a diploma in architecture from the Universidad Católica de Pereira located in Risaralda, Colombia (2005), and a master’s degree in sustainable architectural design with a LEED certification from the Universidad de Barcelona in Barcelona, Spain (2021). Prior to establishing her own architectural firm, López Aguilar worked as an architect in Columbia (2006–2010), and Panama (2011–2014). She has also worked in academia as a professor at the Universidad de la Sabana located near Bogotá, and has served as an International Associate Member of the American Institute of Architects (AIA). López Aguilar has been featured in magazines including Focus Magazine Aruba (2023) and Xclusivo Magazine Aruba (2022).
