4 Reticulum

The second part of the stomach is called the reticulum. This stomach is like a filter that sorts the cow’s food. If the food piece is too big the reticulum will send it back to the rumen to get burped up and chewed again. If the food is in small enough pieces the reticulum will send it to the next stomach!
