We are at the end of Module 16! Based on your learning, how would you answer these questions?

Do a 3-5-minute “quick write” about one or more of the questions below OR be prepared to discuss one/both of them.

Question #1: Why and how do we study history?

Question #2: What can we do to increase our civic participation in American society?

Question #3: What did you learn about U.S. history and government that you did not know?

Question #4: What more do you want to know about U.S. history and government and how will you get that information?

Now that you have completed the module, read each objective again as a class.

Rate yourself from 1-5 on how well you can do it now.

  • I can identify sources historians use to learn more about past events and infer what would happen to a culture if it did not have written documents or photos.

  • I can categorize one responsibility of the country, one responsibility of the government, and one responsibility of the community.
  • I can construct a three-part essay about my civic participation and engagement in society.
