1.6 – Module Project and Reflection
How can we use digital tools to build strong communities?
A community is a group of people who live, work, or learn together. We all live in communities. An important goal of Civics education is to help people become active members of their communities and work to make the communities better.
In small groups, discuss these questions:
1. How can people make their communities better? Some examples to get you started:
- Provide help at schools and libraries
- Clean the parks
- Contact the mayor’s office if a corner needs a traffic light
- Others?
2. Digital tools like WhatsApp, Zoom, and Gmail help people stay connected. We can use them to share ideas, plan events, and learn together. For example, when people use these tools, they can:
- Talk with others in their neighborhood or school
- Help plan a community project or event
- Share news or information quickly
- Others?
What are some examples from your own lives?

We are at the end of Module 1! Based on your learning, how would you answer these questions? Be prepared to discuss or write a brief response to one/both of them to share with your class. (You can use WhatsApp or Gmail.)
